The September 2004 issue of California Lawyer magazine has on the cover Brad Seligman and Jocelyn Larkin of The Impact Fund, lead counsel in the Dukes v. Wal-Mart case. I just wrapped up my one-year Equal Justice Litigation Fellowship at The Impact Fund last week and am so proud of the work that Brad and Jocelyn (and the countless other brilliant legal minds on this case) have done to pursue this class-action lawsuit, the largest civil rights class action in U.S. history. You can read the article, here. Even my lil ole name is mentioned in the article, so be sure to read it carefully because if you blink, you'll miss me. The article is particularly interesting because it highlights what it was like for the plaintiffs' team to prepare for, and participate in, the seven-hour hearing that took place last September, arguing in favor of class certification ~~ which, as you know, we won. The last update I posted on the Wal-Mart appeal was August 14, which you can read, here. I'll try to keep ya'll posted as the date for oral argument in the appeal approaches!
