Music You Need To Get Right Now

Quick note to say ~~  if you don't have Gozo Poderoso, the 2001 album from the Colombian duo Los Aterciopelados (which means "The Velvety Ones"),  then you should run, don't walk, to your computer to order it right now (oh, right, you're here already...and yes I know it is 2005).  :)  Today's life-altering song ~~  Rompecabezas {mp3}, which translates in English to the word "puzzle" but the literal translation means "tears/rips heads"....and if you know what I am working on, and going through, these days, you will agree the song fits perfectly.   The song's complete lyrics are here ~ but here's an appropriate part, with apologies to non-Spanish-speakers, but hey, you live in the U.S., learn Spanish!  ~   :)

Empiezo una nueva vida
un rompecabezas que tendré que armar.
Bien lejos, lejos de su influjo
esa extravagancia que torció mi fe.

Ya no quiero ir hacia usted corriendo,
ya no quiero más gritar su nombre.

Bien lejos, lejos de su influjo
era casi muerte, que fue su querer.
Empiezo....

Ai, gracias to the amazing VC for schooling me on this album, and for getting my iTunes song count to 2250 ~ now if I only had an iPod!  ~ :)

I love that song. It's one of the ones I sing loud in my car.

I love Los Aterciopelados. You should get in on the music meme and you should get an iPod so I can borrow it on a train.
